Reporters covering the 11 th National Party Congress will be provided with round-the-clock logistic services by a press centre set up in service of the country’s largest event this year.

Located on the third floor of the National Convention Centre, where the Congress will take place from Jan. 12-19, the press centre began its operation on Jan. 10.

It was designed to have press rooms which are equipped with around 180 computers linked with the Internet to facilitate reporters’ coverage.

A wireless Internet service alongside technical, information support and press-related services are already in place.

According to Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Do Quy Doan, 620 local reporters and 128 foreign reporters and press assistants have registered to cover the event.

To date, guidance manuals in English and Vietnamese had been delivered to registered reporters.

During the nine-day congress, a press release will be issued every day to keep reporters as well as the public in and outside the country updated promptly and accurately with what is happening at the congress.

Free buffet meals and drinks will be available at the centre for reporters./.
