Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – Malaysian policemen have discovered the bodies of 13 people, believed to be Indonesian, at a beach in the southern state of Johor, State news agency Bernama said on January 26. 

According to the agency, the bodies were found at Bandar Penawar near an eastern coastal area of Kota Tinggi. 

Malaysian authorities said the dead were among 35 illegal migrants on a boat departing from Indonesia. The boat had capsized after being hit by strong waves.
