The close cooperation between the newspapers of the Communist Party of Vietnam ( CPV ) and the Communist Party of China will make important contribution to boosting friendship between the two Parties and people.

Dinh The Huynh, Head of the Communist Party of Vietnam ( CPV ) Central Committee’s Commission for Popularisation and Education, made the statement while receiving the Editor-in-Chief of the China People’s Daily, Wu Hengquan in Hanoi on October 29.

At the meeting, Huynh, who is also Politburo member and Secretary of the CPVCC, affirmed that over 20 years since the normalisation of relations, cooperation between the Vietnam and China has been expanded in all fields, such as politics, economics, trade, culture, education, scientific-technology, security and defence.

Vietnam believes in the great prospects of the Vietnam-China relations in the future, he said.

He also stressed that to realise the common perception of the two countries’ leaders and meet the legitimate aspirations of the two peoples, those involving in education and popularisation tasks play a very important role.

Huynh lauded the close ties between the two Party newspapers, adding that they should organise more exchange of reporters.

Earlier, on October 28, the Editor-in-Chief of Nhan dan (People) newspaper, Thuan Huu, held talks with his counterpart Wu Hengquan.

The two sides agreed that in the coming time, the two Parties’ official newspapers need to strengthen their cooperation in covering the achievements of Vietnam ’s renewal process and China ’s reforms.

The Chinese delegation paid a working visit to Vietnam from October 26-29 at the invitation of Nhan dan daily’s editorial board.-VNA
