Havana (VNA) – Philippine Health Minister Rosell-Ubial said her country wishes to learn from Cuba’s health care system and boost bilateral cooperation relationship in the field during her trip to Cuba.

Talking with the Cuban press on August 25, Resell-Ubial said the cooperation will be very useful for the Philippines because Cuba has a perfect public health system that covers all people.

The Philippines wants to have such a health system, she said.

During her trip, Rosell-Ubial held talks with her Cuban counterpart Roberto Morales and visited the Hermanos Almeijeiras Hospital, the largest one in Cuba’s capital city.

The Philippine Health Minister ended her visit on August 26 after touring the Latin American School of Medicine, one project in the Comprehensive Health Programme that Cuba develops to expand health cooperation with other countries.-VNA
