Vietnamese citizens who love Sweden can have a chance to win a ticket to visit the North European country when joining the ongoing “Vietnamese interpretations of Swedish Innovations” photo contest.

Launched on August 20 by the Swedish Embassy in Vietnam and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the contest is part of activities to celebrate the 45 th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Sweden.

Both amateur and professional photographers are encouraged to join, with entries to be sent to the organising board from now to October 12.

The awarding ceremony will take place on November 10 in Ho Chi Minh City within the framework of the “Innovative Sweden” exhibition.

Speaking at the launching ceremony in Hanoi, Swedish Ambassador Camilla Mellander highlighted the importance of renovation in the economic growth in any nation.

She expressed wish to contribute to promoting an innovative culture in Vietnam, and hope that many Vietnamese people will actively respond to the photo contest in order to help raise awareness of mutual understanding and cooperation between the two countries.

To mark Vietnam’s National Day (September 2), the ministry in collaboration with the Vietnamese Embassy in Sweden will open an exhibition to introduce Vietnamese handicraft products to the public in Stockholm.-VNA
