The Sri Lankan people always keep in their mind Vietnam ’s valuable support for them during their struggle for sovereignty defence of the island country, PM Jayaratne stressed during a reception for Vietnamese Ambassador Ton Sinh Thanh on June 30.
The PM praised Vietnam ’s socio-economic progress during its renewal process, saying that this is a model for other countries to follow.
Ambassador Thanh informed the PM of Vietnam ’s socio-economic achievements and new developments in the two countries’ relations.
Vietnam is willing to increase cooperation and share experience with Sri Lanka to help it in reconstruction and socio-economic development, the diplomat affirmed./.
