Thai Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Yingluck Shinawatra arrived at Maputo city of Mozambique on July 28, beginning the first ever visit by a Thai Premier to African countries comprising Mozambique, Tanzania and Uganda.

Her six-day visit aims to strength economic ties between Thailand and the three African countries.

After their arrival, they were escorted to the Polana Serena Grand Hotel, which the Mozambican government prepared for them.

They were later taken to the city's Craft, Flowers, and Food Centre before meeting with representatives of the Thai private sector who accompanied her on the trip in order to exchange opinions on economic cooperation with the African countries during the visit.-VNA
