The quality of the Thai medical services, high technology, and health recommendations have been recognised worldwide. The country tops the rank of medical tourism in the world, with over 1.5 million people visiting for medical tourism each year, bringing in 41 billion THB per year.
Thailand is also the centre of the region in organising medical showcasing events, notably the Medical Fair Thailand 2013.
The fair, the largest in the ASEAN region, will showcase medical technology and international products from over 300 leading businesses from 30 different countries.
It is expected to help propelling Thailand to become the medical hub of the Southeast Asian region.-VNA
