Hanoi (VNA) – Low-budget carrier Vietjet Air welcomed the 29th aircraft to its fleet as the new Airbus A321 jet, coded VN-A665, landed at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City on November 8.

It is the 10th among 100 planes Vietjet Air ordered from European aviation giant Airbus.

The A321 ceoSharklet is the latest version of the narrow-body Airbus genre. It can carry 230 passengers, and was designed to reduce fuel used, noise and emissions.

The new airplane was added to prepare for rising demand during the upcoming high travel season.

Vietjet Air operates about 190 flights a day on 35 domestic and international routes, including those to Singapore, the Republic of Korea, Taiwan, China, Thailand and Myanmar.

The airline started selling tickets on domestic and international routes from Vietnam to Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, the Republic of Korea and Myanmar for the 2016 New Year holiday with the policy “the sooner you buy a ticket, the cheaper the price”.

The airline will increase the frequency of high-demand routes, such as Ho Chi Minh City – Hanoi (more than 20 round trips per day), Ho Chi Minh City – Da Nang (10 round trips), Ho Chi Minh City – Hue (four round trips), Ho Chi Minh City – Hai Phong (six round trips) and Ho Chi Minh City – Nha Trang (three round trips).

Tickets can be purchased at www.vietjetair.com , www.facebook.com/vietjetairvietnam , hotline 19001886, or at ticketing offices and agencies nationwide.-VNA
