As many as 50 pictures and photos from 21 painters and photographers from Vietnam, Brazil and France are on displayed at an exhibition called “Hanoi – Paris – Rio de Janeiro current art” which opened in Paris on April 26.

The exhibition, to run through May 11, is co-organised by Metropole Group and the Association of Vietnamese in France, with the aim of creating opportunities for painters and photographers from the three countries as well as art lovers to meet, exchange and discover uniqu e and current artwork from the three different cultures.

The works manifest new and unique views of the motherlands of six Vietnamese, four French and 11 Brazilian artists.

The Vietnamese artists presented many pieces to art-lovers, which included the painting “Rain in Old Quarter” by overseas Vietnamese in France Pat Cam.

According to photographer Eric Huynh of Metropole Group, some of the works will be auctioned. The money raised will go towards helping Vietnamese and Brazilian photographers attend future exhibitions in Asia, Europe and South America.-VNA
