A Vietnamese delegation led by Vice President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Hoang Van Dung took part in the second Asian Business Summit in Japan on Sept. 29.

The summit saw the attendance of leaders of business organisations from 11 Asian countries.

Speaking at the event, Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs Koichiro Genba stressed that Japan wishes to boost regional economic cooperation and considers domestic demands of Asian countries its own needs.

Participants called for strengthening regional economic cooperation towards a sustainable growth and affirmed support for efforts to reach agreements, including the trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP).

They also discussed issues relating to energy, environment, response to natural disasters, infrastructure development and financial cooperation.

President of the Japan Federation of Economic Organisations Hiromasa Yonekura said the Asian business community should boost economic cooperation and create a more favourable business environment in order to achieve a sustainable and balanced growth in Asia.

The third Asian Business Summit will be held in Thailand next year./.
