The finance ministries of Vietnam and Cuba have agreed to strengthen financial cooperation, aiming at further enhancing traditional relation between the two countries in the coming time.

A memorandum of understanding to this effect was signed during a working visit to Cuba of a Vietnamese Finance Ministry delegation led by Deputy Minister Tran Van Hieu from June 2-7.

In the framework of the visit, Deputy Minister Hieu held a working session with Cuban Minister of Finance and Pricing Lina Olinda Pedraza, to share successful lessons and difficulties in implementing policies on financial management in state enterprises in connection with the State budget in the two countries.

The Cuban minister affirmed that Cuba will gradually perfect its major policies in line with the country’s situation while maintaining order and ensuring effective and sustainable operation of the economy.

She said that the visit contributes to bolstering the two nations’ traditional relations.-VNA
