A Vietnamese cultural festival took place in the Russian city of Volgograd, the second of its kind held so far in the city, which is home to 500 workers and 300 students from Vietnam.

The festival featured nearly 20 booths introducing Vietnamese culture and history, tourism, economics and folk games. More than 1,000 guests attended the event on the opening day.

Besides traditional Vietnamese cuisine, visitors were able to try their hand at calligraphy and join folk games, in addition to learning about Vietnam's people, history, and current economic development.

Performances of songs, dances, and martial arts, as well as a fashion show with international friends from Russia, the Republic of Korea and Nigeria, were very popular with visitors to the festival.

An auction of Vietnamese handicraft goods was held with all proceeds donated to orphans and underprivileged children in Volgograd-VNA
