The 24th Vietnam International Trade Fair (Vietnam Expo) kicked off in Hanoi on April 16 with the participation of more than 600 exhibitors from over 20 countries and territories worldwide.

In addition to areas showcasing machines, electronic products and food and beverages, this year’s fair includes a space for booths to promote investment in the industrial sector. Information about industrial zones and their preferential policies for investors are available to visitors.

According to Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai, the annual Vietnam Expo has gradually confirmed its important role in linking Vietnamese and international economic and trade organisations, opening up opportunities to intensify exports, trade exchanges, investment and technology transfers.

Hai said that his ministry proposed building a bigger national exhibition centre and upgrading infrastructure in order to better meet Vietnamese and foreign companies’ demand of increasing their cooperation.

The fair will last until April 19.-VNA
