Vietnam People’s Police Force traditional day marked in Laos

A golf tournament was organised in Vientiane, Laos on August 9 as one of the activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Police Force’s Traditional Day and 10th anniversary of the “All people protect the national security” festival.

The event was held by the Vietnamese Embassy and the representative agency of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) in Laos in collaboration with Petrovietnam’s PV OIL Corporation.

It attracted 60 golfers, including Nguyen Manh Hung, Vietnam’s Ambassador to Laos; Major General Nguyen Van Huyen, Head of MPS’ representative office in Laos; and Lao Deputy Minister of Public Security Kongthong Phongvichith.

Other activities, running through August 19, will include a badminton competition and an exhibition displaying photos and documents on the 70-year development of the Vietnam People’s Police Force as well as the friendship and cooperation between two countries’ police forces.-VNA
