Russia wants to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam in economics, defence, education, science and technology, a Russian official said on April 22.

Strozaeva Lubov Viktorovna, who is leading a Russian delegation on a visit to Vietnam from April 21-26, made the statement at a press conference at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Hanoi .

Viktorovna, who is also Director of the “portrait of technological innovation in Russia ” project, emphasised the prospect for cooperation in technology between the two countries.

According to Pankov Dmitri Vladimirovich, editor-in-chief of The portrait of technological innovation in Russia, the project aims to provide information and support the development of business cooperation Vietnam and Russia in advanced technology, apply the best technology practice in Vietnamese factories, and expand integration and cooperation among business circles involved in technology reform.

The Russian delegation is scheduled to have working sessions with representatives of the National Assembly, the ministries of Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Rural Development, and Construction, and the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations.-VNA
