Hanoi (VNA) – The Prime Minister has approved a project to digitalise the national public data.

At an after-tax cost of almost 3.4 trillion VND (151.16 million USD), the project will be implemented by the Ministry of Public Security across all of its municipal and provincial agencies.

It aims at building relevant technical infrastructure to store profiles of citizens nationwide based on a common standard, paving the way for the implementation of the identity card law.

The national public data is part of the 2013-2020 national master plan on simplifying administrative procedures.-VNA
