A forum themed ‘Vietnamese entrepreneurs, cooperation and success’, was held in Berlin on May 30.
When addressing the forum, Vietnam ’s Charge d’Affaires Bui Ngoc Toan stated that Vietnam and Germany ’s strategic partnership holds opportunities for both Vietnamese and German businesses to step up investments and bilateral trade ties.
A large number of businesses attending the forum indicated the business community’s keenness to promote the potential for both countries cooperating more in bilateral trade and economics, said Toan.
Vietnam ’s Deputy Minister for Industry and Trade Ho Thi Kim Thoa said that her minister will listen to businesses to propose both the Vietnamese and German Governments to provide more support for the business communities in both countries.
Germany is a huge potential market for Vietnamese businesses as proportionally Vietnam ’s exports to Germany only represent 0.2 percent of the country’s total.
Thoa said she hopes Vietnamese businesses in Germany and overseas will cooperate more to address any difficulties and conduct market surveys to export more products to Germany .
The forum is one of a series of activities from May 27 to June 1 to boost Vietnamese and German trade and economic cooperation.-VNA
