Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung hailed the Republic of Korea (RoK) as Vietnam ’s top partner in investment, trade, ODA, tourism and labour in Hanoi on April 26.

Hung told the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the RoK, Park Suk Hwan, who is in Hanoi for the first strategic dialogue on diplomacy, security and national defence from April 24-26, that the event served as an important dialogue channel, contributing to better mutual understanding and trust as well as closer bilateral relations in various fields.

Vietnam is anticipating further assistance from Asia ’s fourth-largest economy, said the Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister.

His view was shared by the RoK guest, who emphasised the need for the two countries to boost relations among industries, local administrations, businesses, schools and research institutes of the two countries, thus strengthening bilateral relations at the central level.

Park unveiled his government’s plan to issue more favourable policies and make greater efforts to improve living conditions for the 100,000-strong Vietnamese community in the RoK./.
