200 best businesses selected from 31 sectors will be honoured with the Vietnam Gold Star Award 2021, according to Nguyen Doan Thang, general secretary of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association.

Hanoi (VNA) - 200best businesses selected from 31 sectors will be honoured with the Vietnam GoldStar Award 2021, according to Nguyen Doan Thang, general secretary of the VietnamYoung Entrepreneurs Association.

From December 6-20, the central committee of the VietnamYoung Entrepreneurs Associationestablished 41 working groups to carry out on-site evaluation at enterprises as a basisfor selecting qualified enterprises for the award.

Le Phung Thang, permanent vicechairman of the pre-qualification committee of the award said that although thebusiness community has been greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, thenumber and quality of applications for this year's award came up to standard.

The Award, which isorganised by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, theVietnam Youth Federation Central Committee and the Vietnam Young EntrepreneursAssociation, honours the enterprises that have achieved good businessperformance and sustainable development and undertaken good socialresponsibility.

The evaluation and voting is basedon eight criteria: total assets, revenue, equity, post-tax profit, contributionto State budget, ROE, number of labourers and their average income, Thang said.

Apart from to evaluating financialfigures, the completion of tax obligation and social insurance of enterprisesare also considered, he added.

The business community's interestin the award over the years has demonstrated its prestige,according to Nguyen Ngoc Luong, Secretary of the Ho ChiMinh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) Central Committee, President of the Vietnam YouthFederation (VYF).

He said the award helps encourage businessesand entrepreneurs to contribute to the country’s development  

As schedule, a ceremonyto honour winners of the Vietnam Gold Star Awards 2021 will take place in March 2022./.
