More than 2,000 technology-related deals worth more than 1.7 trillion VND were inked during the Techmart Vietnam ASEAN + 3 which took place in Hanoi from September 17-20, said the organisers.

At the closing session on September 20, the organisers presented 114 golden cups to technologies and equipment of high practicality.

The mart, co-organised by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Hanoi People’s Committee and the ASEAN+3 Science and Technology Committee, drew the participation of 651 businesses, including 600 local ones and 51 foreign businesses from ASEAN member countries, China, Japan and the Republic of Korea.

More than 2,900 technologies and various types of equipment were put up for sale at the event, which, for the first time, involves 10 State-level scientific and technological programmes.

Forty-six local research institutions, 14 universities and colleges, plus 455 scientists and technologists and artisans also attended the event to seek chances to trade in and transfer technologies.

Techmart Vietnam ASEAN +3 contributed significantly to speeding up the establishment and development of the technology market, strengthening the ties between researchers, producers and businesspeople, and promoting technological renewal in businesses, said the organisers./.
