2014 “Made-in-Laos” trade fair opens

Laos’ Deputy Prime Minister Somsavad Lengsavath on January 15 cut the ribbon to open a trade fair held to raise the domestic consumption and competitiveness of Made-in-Laos products in the market.

Laos’ Deputy Prime Minister Somsavad Lengsavath on January 15 cut the ribbon to open a trade fair held to raise the domestic consumption and competitiveness of Made-in-Laos products in the market.

On display are handicrafts, farm produce, garments and textiles, foodstuff and household goods at over 300 booths laid by 125 Lao businesses, including 77 pavilions of wooden furniture, popular national products.

The event will help Lao firms increase their trade exchange and promotion as well as partnerships, in a bid to raise the country’s production and the capacity of Lao manufacturers.

The fair will run until January 19.-VNA
