Over 203 million tonnes of goods passed through sea ports nationwide in the first half of this year, reaching 57.8 percent of the set plan for the year and representing a year-on-year increase of 10.43 percent.

Seaports in the northern city of Hai Phong, the southern province of BaRia-Vung Tau and Ho Chi Minh City, which combined handled nearly 80percent of the total goods volume in the period, witnessed the largestgrowths.

Substantial increases in cargo throughput at HCM Citysea ports during the reviewed period are attributed to municipalauthorities’ strengthened investments in building, upgrading andutilising transport infrastructure facilities.-VNA

In the first four months of 2026, total FDI inflows into Vietnam reached 18.24 billion USD, up 32% year-on-year. Disbursed capital was estimated at more than 7.4 billion USD, an increase of 9.8% and the highest four-month disbursement level recorded in the past five years, reflecting effective implementation of many registered projects.

Deputy PM stresses strategic, synchronous planning for airport system

The national airport system planning was approved by the Prime Minister under Decision No. 648/QD-TTg dated June 7, 2023.
