Vina Start Motors (VSM) the exclusive producer and distributor of Mishubishi Motors in Vietnam, officially introduced its new pick-up truck, the Triton, with a distinctive J-line design on May 27.
The company is aiming to regain its crown in the pick-up market and enhance VSM's business strategy in Vietnam.
First introduced in 1978, pick-up trucks have gained a strong user base worldwide, from the first Forte to the fourth generation Triton/L200 models, which all together have accumulated more than 4,000,000 units of production volume.
"We are focusing more on SUVs, pick-ups and electric vehicles as key products and also in ASEAN countries such as Vietnam," President and COO of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation Tetsuro Aikawa said.
"Last year, we recorded high profit. Around 30 percent came from ASEAN."-VNA
