Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - American businessmen have confirmed their confidence in the Thai economy and expressed readiness to strengthen the Thailand-US trade ties.
On September 25, President of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade of Thailand Klin Sarasin accompanied a group of American businessmen in a meeting with Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha at the Government House.
The PM thanked the US businessmen for persuading their compatriots to invest in Thailand, resulting in an ongoing increase in trade value between the two countries.
The premier stressed that the government is focusing on the use of innovation and technology to develop 10 target industries such as agriculture, vehicle building, aviation and medicine in line with the Thailand 4.0 policy.
The government is also trying to increase investor confidence in the Thai business environment, he said.
Meanwhile, the minister counselor of the US embassy in Thailand said American businessmen have confidence in Thailand and wish to strengthen the economic and business ties between the two countries.-NNT/VNA
