American businessmen have confirmed their confidence in the Thai economy and expressed readiness to strengthen the Thailand-US trade ties.

Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - Americanbusinessmen have confirmed their confidence in the Thai economy and expressedreadiness to strengthen the Thailand-US trade ties. 

On September 25, President of the Thai Chamber of Commerceand Board of Trade of Thailand Klin Sarasin accompanied a group of Americanbusinessmen in a meeting with Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha at the GovernmentHouse.

The PM thanked the US businessmen for persuading their compatriots to invest inThailand, resulting in an ongoing increase in trade value between the twocountries. 

The premier stressed that the government is focusing on theuse of innovation and technology to develop 10 target industries such as agriculture,vehicle building, aviation and medicine in line with the Thailand 4.0 policy. 

The government is also trying to increase investor confidencein the Thai business environment, he said. 

Meanwhile, the minister counselor of the US embassy inThailand said American businessmen have confidence in Thailand and wish tostrengthen the economic and business ties between the two countries.-NNT/VNA
