The annual Xuan Que Huong (Homeland Spring) arts performance for overseas Vietnamese will be organised on January 23, according to the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The annual programme welcomes overseas Vietnamese returning to the country for the Tet holiday, the most important and longest annual festival for homecoming and family reunion in Vietnam, which will come by the end of January. The event will be held at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Hanoi, with high-ranking Party and State leaders and prominent Vietnamese nationals from around the world expected to attend.

Overseas Vietnamese artists are expected to wow the Hanoian crowd with special performances.

There are currently around 4 million overseas Vietnamese living and working in 103 countries and territories worldwide, and the Party and State have been taking them as an inseparable part of the nation.-VNA
