Hue (VNA) - The beauty of Hue, the ancient citadel of Vietnam, is the inspiration for an art exhibition launched at Hue Royal Palace.

The exhibit is literally called Hue in the Eyes of Foreign Watercolour Painters. It displays 57 artworks by 29 painters from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, China and Vietnam. The artworks are the results of a four-day painting event organised by the International Watercolour Society in Hue from May 15-18.

The exhibited paintings feature various drawing styles and focus on depicting the beauty of Hue’s architecture, nature and landscapes.

According to Phan Thanh Hai, the General Director of Hue Monuments Conservation Centre, the International Watercolour Society is a renowned arts organisation, established by painters from many countries. The organisation launching an art exhibition in Hue is a meaningful event for local fine arts. It also creates an opportunity for domestic and international painters to exchange experiences and promote the development of their art form.

The show will run until the end of May. The Hue in the Eyes Of Foreign Watercolour Painters exhibit is expected to be an attractive destination for visitors to Hue Royal Palace.-VNA
