Art programme to tell stories about Dien Bien Phu Campaign

A special art programme themed “Dien Bien Phu – Moc vang lich su” (Dien Bien Phu – A historical golden milestone) will be held in the northwestern province of Dien Bien on May 6 evening in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954-2024).

Hanoi (VNA) – A special art programme themed “Dien Bien Phu – Mocvang lich su” (Dien Bien Phu – A historical golden milestone) will be held inthe northwestern province of Dien Bien on May 6 evening in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954-2024).

According to the Ministry of Culture,Sports and Tourism, the programme will be broadcast live on the VietnamTelevision’s VTV1 channel.

It will use modern technologies to redraw apanorama of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign and provide the audience with an overviewof today’s Dien Bien.

The programme aims at honouring the sacrifices made during the wartime and highlighting the value of independence and freedom today, thereby sending out amessage of the desire for peace to humanity around the world./.

During the conference, delegates examined a wide range of themes, including geology, geomorphology and biodiversity; cultural values such as history, archaeology and intangible heritage; human adaptation; site integrity, boundaries and management challenges; and a roadmap for nominating the Van Long – Tam Chuc wetland karst area as a World Heritage Site.
