Duc, who is also a founder of the Nha San Collective--an experimental art spacein Hanoi --will talk about the Tet (Lunar New Year) altar of Vietnamese people and prayers madeduring the traditional festival.
For Vietnamese people, the altar is a highly sacred place where they presenttheir deepest respect to their domestic ancestors. However, not every one knowsabout the fengshui rules for arranging the altar and offerings. In differentregions, there are some differences on the altar offerings as well. Inaddition, how to “talk” properly with ancestors through the prayers will alsobe mentioned during the discussion with the Hanoian artist.
The event is among the monthly cultural series organised by the Hanoi CultureSpace aiming to revive traditional values of the local culture.
