An arts programme aiming to raise funds for heart diseases patients will take place on April 18 in Hanoi .
The event, entitled “Sympathetic Hearts”, will be jointly organised by the Labour Newspaper, Family and Children Magazine, the Capital Communications Company, the Hanoi Television and the Hanoi Red Cross.
It aims to celebrate the 31 st anniversary of the “ Vietnam ’s Disabled Day” and is a response to the “Month of action for Children” (May 15 – June 30, 2011)
Through the programme, the organisation board and sponsors will fund heart operation for 30 disadvantaged children, who are inborn heart disease patients.
They also will offer 70 savings books, each worth 5-10 million VND, to 70 disadvantaged families including 25 families of the landslide victims in Nghe An province on April 1 and 100 wheelchairs and gifts to the disabled people, the Agent Orange/dioxin victims, the orphans and the disadvantaged children throughout the country./.
