An exhibition of ASEAN-China costumes opened in the Chinese Museum of Women and Children on April 8, as part of activities beginning t he 2014 ASEAN-China Cultural Exchange Year.
More than 120 traditional and outstanding sets of clothes from 10 ASEAN member countries and China are on display.
Catwalk performances have also been organised to entertain visitors and help them understand more about the beauty of each country’s fashion.
A collection of Ao dai (Vietnam’s traditional long dresses) by designer Lan Huong are on display at the festival.
Meanwhile, Vietnamese artisans from Van Phuc and Quat Dong traditional trade villages are introducing visitors to making silk and embroidery cloth.
The exhibition will last until April 17. On this occasion, a dialogue on costume culture development will be held for designers from participating countries.-VNA
