The 5th ASEAN-China Young Entrepreneur Forum (ACYEF) will be held in Brunei from August 19-21, expected to draw more than 200 young entrepreneurs from both sides.
With the theme “Renewing Prospects for Growth”, this year’s forum is hoped to provide young entrepreneurs an opportunity to share experience and review ASEAN’s economic progress in recent time.
It will also help promote economic cooperation among enterprises within ASEAN and between ASEAN member countries and China .
President of the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Brunei Darussalam (YEAB) Hafimi Abdul Haadii, who is also Chairman of this year’s forum, said the event will highlight the role of young entrepreneurs in shaping the future of their countries’ economies.
He also affirmed that the forum will support “ASEAN's vision” for regional economic integration through investment and people-to-people exchange.
Established in 2008, ACYEF is a non-profit independent organisation with its function as a regional platform where entrepreneurs from the ASEAN region and China can exchange information on trade and economic cooperation among the neighbouring countries.-VNA
