ASEAN Music Festival 2022 to take place in Hoi An later this month

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on December 14 announced that the ASEAN Music Festival 2022 will take place from December 19 to 24 in Hoi An City, the central province of Quang Nam.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Ministry of Culture, Sports andTourism on December 14 announced that the ASEAN Music Festival 2022 will takeplace from December 19 to 24 in Hoi An City, the central province of Quang Nam.

The event is among the activities to celebrate the 55th foundinganniversary of ASEAN this year, and offers regional artists a platform to gaingreater insights into the quintessence of traditional music within the bloc asa whole.

It also aims to diversify activities within the framework ofthe closing of the National Tourism Year - Quang Nam 2002 and attract moredomestic and international tourists to Quang Nam.

The festival is expected to draw the participation of more than200 artists from 14 local and foreign art troupes.

Foreign troupes can use Vietnamese musical works for performanceand Vietnamese troupes can use musical works of ASEAN member countries topromote their people and culture or show the solidarity and internationalintegration between Vietnam and other ASEAN countries./.

Vietnam, Laos ink 2026–2030 culture-tourism cooperation plan
