The annual ASEAN music festival will return to the outdoor setting of Hanoi’s American Club Hanoi for the second time, with live music performances and refreshments to be enjoyed throughout May 24.
Themed “ASEAN Pride – Celebrating Diversity”, the day will gather bands across the region, including punk rock Big Bang from Myanmar, punk-electro-funk collective The Pinholes from Singapore.
A handful of Vietnamese artists have confirmed that they will be performing.
The festival will also feature a creative arts sale run by the Hanoi Flea Market and a children’s play area.
Hosted by the US embassy in Hanoi and CAMA Vietnam, the festival will promote cultural vibrancy and raise awareness about ASEAN community pride by eliminating inequality and discrimination towards lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people.
Free tickets are available for ASEAN citizens.
Others can buy tickets at the gate for 400,000 VND (19 USD).-VNA
