The Health Ministries of Vietnam and Thailand co-held an exercise on response to any outbreak of Ebola for ASEAN+3, according to Nhan Dan (People) newspaper.
The event aimed to raise the disease response capacity through exchanging information, piloting cooperation mechanisms, and boosting communications on disease risks between ASEAN+3 countries.
Participating countries exchanged views on monitoring, investigating Ebola cases and publishing information and recommendations on Ebola and other emerging infectious diseases in the time ahead.
Recommendations after the meetings will be submitted to the ASEAN Secretariat for approval and implementation, with a view to ensuring health security for countries worldwide.-VNA
