Asia-Europe music festival’s concert comes to Vinh Phuc

A concert was held in the northern province of Vinh Phuc on October 17 as part of the second Asia-Europe New Music Festival and the 34th Asian Composers League (ACL) Festival and Conference.

Vinh Phuc (VNA) – A concert was held in the northern province of Vinh Phuc on October 17 as part of the second Asia-Europe New Music Festival and the 34th Asian Composers League (ACL) Festival and Conference.

Artists from Laos, Cambodia, Japan and Vietnam got engaged in the event themed the melody of friends.

The ACL accepted Vietnam’s membership to the association in Tokyo in November 2014 and proposed the Vietnam Musicians’ Association host the two aforesaid programmes from October 12-18 in Hanoi and Vinh Phuc.

Nearly 200 musicians and singers from 30 countries and territories participated in the events.

Themed “Music – Convergence and Pervasion”, the festivals include a series of 11 main performances of symphony, chamber music, chorus, opera and ballet, as well as two workshops on Asian – European New Music and Vietnamese Monochord or “Dan Bau”.-VNA

Vietnam's 35-strong squad announced for ASEAN U23 Championship 2025

The Vietnamese team will gather on June 26 in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, where they will train until July 14 before departing for Indonesia for the ASEAN U23 Championship 2025, which runs from July 15 to 29. Vietnam will face Laos on July 19 and Cambodia on July 22 in the group stage.

Exhibition features President Ho Chi Minh as founder of Vietnam’s revolutionary press

The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.

Vinh Phuc to host international women's volleyball tournament

Eight teams will join the tournament, divided into two groups. Group A features Vietnam, the Philippines, Sichuan Club (China), and Australia, while Group B consists of Vietnam U21, Korabelka Club (Russia), Taiwan (China), and U21 Thailand.

Vietnam to host U17, U23 Asian Wrestling Championships for first time

The U23 competition will run from June 16 to 22, followed by the U17 event from June 23 to 28, while athletes competing in the U23 category will undergo weight and skill checks ahead of the matches starting June 18, while similar checks for U17 athletes will take place before June 23.
