SwimmerNguyen Thi Anh Vien won her second bronze medal at ASIAD 17 in thewomen’s 200m backstroke event. She finished her race in 2’12”25, justafter Japan’s Sayaka Akase and China’s Jie Chen.
Her first bronze medal was secured on September 23 in the women’s 400m individual medley.
The same day, shooter Nguyen Thi Thu Hang bagged a bronze in the women’s individual 10m running target event.
Asof 8pm on September 26, Vietnam ranked 13th in the medal table withone gold, six silver and 18 bronze medals. China still dominated therankings with 91 golds, followed by the Republic of Korea with 31 goldsand Japan with 30 golds.-VNA
