Beijing (VNA) - Swimmer Vi Thi Hang has brought a bronze medal for the Vietnamese team at the ongoing 4th Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China.
In the women's S7 100m freestyle event, Hang crossed the finish line in third place with a time of 1 minute 20.58 seconds, earning the bronze medal – the second for the Vietnamese sports delegation on the day. The first one was a silver seized by weightlifter Dang Thi Linh Phuong in the women's under-50kg category.
Chinese athlete Jiang Yuyan and her compatriot Ke Liting were the first and second to complete the swimming race in 1 minute 11.53 seconds and 1 minute 18.56 seconds, respectively, claiming the gold and silver medals.
