A jazz concert celebrating the establishment of the Asian Youth JazzOrchestra will be held on February 3 at the Vietnam Youth Theatre.
Theconcert is being held in honour of the orchestra's leaders and youngJapanese musicians who have come to Vietnam to hold auditions forVietnamese musicians.
The musicians will play jazz standards and newer pieces on pianos, saxophones, trombones, electric bases and drums.
ThreeVietnamese musicians will attend auditions held on February 2 at theVietnam Youth Theatre. They will be judged by a Japanese panel.
TheAsian Youth Jazz Orchestra will consist of young musicians from ASEANcountries and Japan. From ASEAN countries, 16 musicians will be selectedby auditions. The selected musicians will train in Japan in the summer.They will perform in ASEAN countries and Japan in autumn.-VNA
