OVs harness international experience for national development

As Chairman of the Vietnamese Association of Scholars and Experts in Australia (VASEA), Professor Nghiem Duc Long, Director of the Centre for Environmental and Water Research at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), said VASEA members have recently been enabled to contribute in areas aligned with their expertise through multiple channels, including host-country institutions and direct exchanges with Vietnamese agencies.

Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Thanh Ha, Consul General of Vietnam in Western Australia and the Northern Territory, praised the dedication of young Vietnamese living in the region. Australia pledges stronger support for Vietnam’s martyr repatriation efforts

Sen. Lt. Gen. Le Quang Minh, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), proposed that Australia share its experience and apply advanced technologies in research, data aggregation, investigation, classification, extraction of information, and the preservation of records to support Vietnam’s efforts to search for and repatriate the remains of its fallen soldiers.

Vietnamese community in Australia supports flood victims back home

The charity, registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), launched the campaign after Vietnam was struck by two severe typhoons, Bualoi and Matmo, in late September 2025, causing widespread damage across northern and central provinces.

Indonesia, Australia conduct joint disaster response exercise
