Visitors to the three-day festival had the chance to enjoy cultural activities such as brocade making by Hmong ethnic minority people, unique horse racing, tasting typical local dishes, and taking in an area featuring national intangible cultural heritages.
Bac Ha is a highland district rich in potential for landscape tourism and with a multi-ethnic cultural identity. It is also known as the “white plateau”.
The festival aims to promote tourism to Bac Ha by visitors from inside and outside of Lao Cai, helping to restore tourism activities in Bac Ha in particular and in the province in general.
The district also held a ceremony announcing the national heritage status of Bac Ha horse racing and flower pattern decorations on the costumes of the local Mong ethnic minority people./.
