Badminton: Minh drops down world rankings

Vietnam’s top badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh has fallen to seventh position in the Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings.

Vietnam’s top badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh has fallen toseventh position in the Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings.

Inthe new BWF rankings released on September 12, Minh fell from fifthplace after Japan ’s Kenichi Tago and Indonesia ’s Tommy Sugiartoadvanced up the leader board.

Minh only advanced tothe fifth spot in August after winning a bronze medal at the WorldBadminton Championship in Guangzhou , China .

Malaysian badminton player Lee Chong Wei retained his top position inthe men’s single rankings, while China’s Li Xuerui held first place inthe women’s category.-VNA
