Singer, composer and guitarist Marie Warnant from Wallonie-Bruxelles in Belgium will entrance audiences in four big Vietnamese cities with free concerts from May 1 to 7.
Warnant said her music, which leant toward electronic, was inspired by various famous names like Arto Lindsay and David Byrne.
When performing solo or with a band, she expresses herself as a free, talented and broad-minded artist, said Do Kim Oanh, a cultural assistant from the Wallonie-Bruxelles Delegation in Hanoi.
She has performed 30 concerts around the world and recorded three albums.
She will be accompanied by veteran drummer Le Quoc Hung. Although Hung was born in a family without any art, he was familiar with music from an early age. Hung has created and performed with many bands such as Hanoi Jazz, Orient and Phu Sa.
The performances will take place in Hue, Da Lat, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.-VNA
