Grand ceremonies were held across the country on May 19 to celebrate President Ho Chi Minh’s 120 th birth anniversary (May 19).
The central province of Nghe An, the birth place of President Ho Chi Minh, also held an inauguration of a memorial house dedicated to the President in Truong Sa district, the central province of Khanh Hoa.
In the memorial house lies a bronze statue of President Ho Chi Minh, weighing nearly 1 tonne, together with photos and documentations portraying the President’s life and his ties with the national revolutionary cause, the armed forces and the people.
A delegation of Nghe An provincial officials has been touring the Truong Sa archipelago since May 11 to visit and present gifts to soldiers stationed there.
At a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee Le Thanh Hai vowed that HCM city authorities and people will work harder to make the city “bigger and more beautiful” as wished by President Ho Chi Minh.
The Mekong delta province of So Trand on the day started work on the construction of a temple dedicated to Uncle Ho./.
