The central coastal province of Binh Dinh is calling for 1.8 billion USD in 18 projects in its Nhon Hoi economic zone and other industrial parks.
The information was revealed at a conference jointly held by the provincial People’s Committee and the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) in Quy Nhon city on February 4.
The prioritised projects cover infrastructure construction, real estate, trade, services, tourism, agro-forestry fisheries, and health care.
At the ceremony, the provincial Entrepreneurs Association committed an investment of more than 500 million USD and 10 billion VND for social welfare during the 2014-15 period.
BIDV agreed to pour 10 trillion VND (476 million USD) into industrial production and aquatic product processing over 2014-16, alongside its 20 billion VND commitment to social welfare.
Addressing the event, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc acknowledged Binh Dinh’s efforts in maintaining high economic growth and competitiveness index in 2013.
He urged the province to fully tap its natural resources to develop chemical, tourism, and aviation services.-VNA
