The Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) and the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) started their joint air defence exercise at Brunei’s Air Force Base in Rimba on September 30.
The opening ceremony took place at the air force base with a parade performed by personnel of the two exercise contingents.
The two-week long exercise, running through October 14, aims to foster closer ties between RBAirF and RSAF as well as provide practical training for the Ground Base Air Defense (GBAD) operators of both sides.
It includes a wide range of activities, such as aircraft recognition, simulator training, fire-fighting drill, live fire maneuver, battle procedure practice and sport interaction.
This year’s event marks the 20 th year of the bilateral drill.-VNA
