Bunny lantern sets Vietnamese record

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam’s Book of Records, Vietkings, has recognised the Bunny-Enjoying-Moonlight lantern on the square of Vincom Mega Mall Times City as the biggest of its kind in Vietnam.

The recognition will kick off a series of activities at the entire chain of Vincom commercial centres nationwide to celebrate the mid-autumn festival.

The Bunny-Enjoying-Moonlight lantern has a magnificent height of up to 15.5m. Adding to the sparkling beauty of the giant lantern is the Star Light, the diametre of which is roughly four metres and 5,400 smaller lights. The whole set has been exhibited till September 15.

Also on this occasion, a water music show will take place with lively songs on the mid-autumn festival, along with the display of a giant moon cake at the square.

The highlight of the mid-autumn festival held in Vincom Mega Mall Royal City are the voluntary activities titled Sharing Connection and the festival which involves the lighting of the Lantern Path of Compassion, which is from September 2 to 4. As part of the activity, visitors can buy lanterns on the spot and hang them to create a sparkling path of colourful lanterns and propellers.

The programme is expected to collect about 2 billion VND (91,000 USD) for the Compassion Sharing Connection Fund, which will be used to build 16 new schools for nearly 4,000 children in remote mountainous areas.-VNA

Tokyo Girls Collection Vietnam 2026 to debut in Ho Chi Minh City

Vietnamese culture promoted in France
