The second meeting of the Cambodia-China Inter-Governmental Coordination Committee kicked off in Phnom Penh on December 30 with an aim of deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
The meeting was co-chaired by Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Hor Namhong and visiting Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Hor Namhong said the meeting aims to review progress made during the implementation of an action plan on comprehensive strategic partnership cooperation between Cambodia and China .
According to the agenda, at the end of the meeting, Namhong and Yang will preside over the signing ceremony of eight cooperation documents in the fields of economy-trade, defence, health, and education.
During his stay, the Chinese official will meet with King Norodom Sihamoni and Prime Minister Hun Sen.
Besides, Yang and the Cambodian Deputy PM will jointly inaugurate the Chinese Cultural Mansion in Cambodia.-VNA
