Cambodia received 3.5 million foreign visitors in 2012, a 20 percent increase from the previous year, according to Cambodian Minister of Tourism Thong Khon.
The increase is attributed to political stability and security in the country, as well as improved tourism services.
Topping the chart of international visitors were travellers from Vietnam, the Republic of Korea, China, Japan and Thailand.
In recent years, tourism has supported the Cambodian economy. In 2011, the sector earned 2.5 billion USD in revenue./.VNA
