Officials of the Cambodian National Rescue Party (CNRP) and the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) have agreed to set up a working group to prepare for the two sides’ upcoming talks.
The agreement came from a December 31 meeting between CNRP President Samrainsy and the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Home Affairs and senior members of the CPP to discuss how to resume their talks.
According to Prum Sokha, a senior member of the CPP, the content of the upcoming talks is likely to cover the issues the CPP raised at the talks on September 16 and 17.
Meanwhile, CNRP Vice President Kem Sokha said the talks will also see the participation of civil social organisations and the CNRP may table the re-election issue only .-VNA
